Design has become the third major force driving human civilization and has made significant contributions to global sustainable development. Numerous influential experts have emerged in this field. For the first time, the "World Design Contribution Award" has been launched at 2025 World Eco-Design Conference to honor experts and scholars who have made outstanding contributions in the field of design.
Since the launch of the award, a six-month global selection process was conducted. A jury of 50 experts from 20 countries carried out a rigorous screening of candidates. Evaluation criteria included design innovation, social impact, sustainable contribution, academic influence, and the ability to translate theory into practice. After multiple rounds of deliberation, the most influential awardees were selected.
